Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains coy on potential deal for Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister

According to Evening Standard, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp remains coy amid links to Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Mac Allister is predicted for a summer move to a club having excelled in his time with the Seagulls and his impressive campaign in Argentina’s winning run to the FIFA World Cup.

The player’s father has hinted before for a move for the midfielder with Liverpool and Manchester United expressing interest in acquiring the services of the midfielder.

Now, claims suggest that Liverpool have advanced their interest in the Brighton midfielder in the coming weeks. However, Jurgen Klopp is coy on the signing,

“With all other things transfer-wise, [you will be] the first to be informed if something will happen. Before that nothing really to say about it.”

While it is normal for managers to be silent about potential signings, it is something accustomed to Klopp and Liverpool.

We have done plenty of signings in the past whilst making very few noise about it and the staff at Liverpool would want to continue with the same.

On the other hand, Manchester United’s loss to Brighton & Hove Albion gives us a glimpse of hope that we could end the season with a top four finish. It was Mac Allister who scored the decisive penalty on the night.

Currently on 59 points with four points off the top four, it does provide an excellent opportunity for us to get one over our rivals.

With a five streak Premier League win on and very winnable fixtures ahead, it could provide us with a chance to a top four finish after a disastrous season.

A home game to Brentford is up next and it could prove to be the toughest fixture of the lot and anything less than three points will surely give away any hope of a top four finish.
