Journalist reports that Brighton are ready to listen offers for Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister

As per German Gracia Grova of Tyc Sports (h/t Liverpool Echo), Brighton and Hove Albion have given the green light to listen to offers for Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister.

The other revelation is that the Argentina international will sit on the negotiation table just after the end of this season and decide on his future.

Liverpool are best positioned to sign the 24-year-old, who signed a new deal with Brighton before the World Cup. The price tag quoted is around £70m.

It looks like we will learn about Mac Allister and his next club or if he is enjoying his summer in a by the first week of June. If Liverpool are the front-runners, this would be good news.

The former Argentinos Jr. player has had an exceptional season for both club and the country. Winning the World Cup in Qatar with the latter stands out. He played in the final and assisted a goal for Angel di Maria.

The 24-year-old is a versatile midfield player who can play either as a number 10, as a number eight on either side or as a deeper-lying playmaker in a midfield pivot. He does take excellent penalties, having converted all of his six penalties in the Premier League this season.

The Argentinian has the attributes and positional versatility to be an excellent addition to the Liverpool squad under Jurgen Klopp. His tactical intelligence could come in handy at Anfield as well.

For the Reds, only potentially signing Mac Allister won’t do for them. They are still in the race to get Mason Mount, who would be another key addition if the deal gets done.

Foreign sources are pushing Manuel Ugarte’s future closer to Liverpool too. It remains to be seen whether that is just for raising the player’s price value in the market or something concrete is around the corner.
