Liverpool are pushing to sign Khephren Thuram who is valued at around €60m
As per Get Football News France (h/t Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram in the coming transfer window.
The report states that although Nice are not keen on selling their star midfielder, they value him at around €60m, per L’Equipe.
The 22-year-old, son of the French great Lillian Thuram, was a Monaco youth product before joining Nice in the summer of 2019. His current contract there runs until 2025 (Transfermarkt).
The French international is a defensive midfielder who can operate as a central midfielder or a wide midfielder. He has got two goals and eight assists in 48 appearances in all competitions this season.
Regarding his attributes, Thuram is an excellent passer of the ball, can create chances with precise passes even from deeper positions and reads the game well defensively. He does possess a good turn of pace to beat opposition players on or off the ball.
In the Ligue 1 this season, the 22-year-old has had a passing accuracy of 87%, provided 1.1 key passes per game and won 50% of the total duels [Sofascore].
In short, Thuram has everything to be an excellent addition to a struggling Liverpool midfield. He would not only add fresh and young legs, but elite quality on and off the ball.
The Reds are closing in on a move to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion. But they need to sign one or two more midfielders to complete the overhaul of that department this summer.

If Thuram becomes one of those additions in the coming weeks, it would mark a work well done for the club. Newly-appointed sporting director Jorg Schmadtke may have a big say in the direction of this potential deal.
