Serie A winning ace on Liverpool’s radar heavily linked with PL switch

Eljif Elmas targeted by Premier League clubs amid Liverpool links

Rumours surrounding Eljif Elmas’ potential move to the Premier League have intensified as his agent recently disclosed interest from an undisclosed English club.

While Liverpool’s name continues to remain associated with the talented midfielder, the identity of the pursuing club remains shrouded in mystery. That is according to a chat on the Fabrizio Romano podcast via ECHO

.

Eljif Elmas is an extremely versatile player who can play almost all midfield roles apart from defensive midfield and on top of that, he can certainly put in a shift on the left wing as well which makes him any manager’s dream player.

Here is what Romano and Eljif’s agent discussed on his exclusive podcast:

“Another one of your players who did well this season is Eljif Elmas, he’s always in the rumours, we’ve heard about Newcastle and Liverpool recently. I want to ask if there was something concrete with Liverpool and Newcastle and what is the general situation of Eljif,”

“There is a lot of interest in him because he’s very versatile, he plays in three or four positions. He has a big future, with the new manager of Napoli there will be some evaluations to see if they still believe in this player or if not we will find a solution.”

“He has interest not only from the Premier League but also from Spanish and German clubs.”

Liverpool had the opportunity to witness Elmas’ abilities up close during their clashes with Luciano Spalletti’s Napoli side. The midfielder left a lasting impression on the Reds, showcasing his technical prowess, vision, and exceptional work rate.

His performances in those encounters have apparently left Liverpool’s coaching staff intrigued and pondering the possibility of adding the young talent to their ranks. However, with Newcastle in the mix as well with “other Premier League clubs”, the Reds need to be quick if they have any interest in getting Elmas on board.

Only time will reveal which Premier League club will secure Elmas’ services. Liverpool, despite the competition, remain in the mix, closely monitoring the situation. Should they manage to secure his signature, Elmas would undoubtedly add depth and quality to the Reds’ midfield

However, his leaving Naples isn’t certain given his contract at the Serie A club lasts until 2025 (Transfermarkt).

Speaking of his statistics, Elmas has six goals and three assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for Napoli. Hopefully, the Macedonian sees the good in joining the Reds and does join forces with Jurgen Klopp over the summer.
