Despite his undeniable technical skills and vast experience, Thiago has struggled to consistently reach the heights expected of him since joining the Reds. Injuries have plagued his time on Merseyside, limiting his game time and preventing him from making a significant impact on the pitch.

As Liverpool look to reinvigorate their squad, it appears that Thiago’s age and injury issues have influenced the club’s decision not to offer him a contract extension. At this stage of his career, with the midfielder 32 already, the club is focused on building for the future and also, finding players who can contribute consistently.
