Liverpool no longer interested in signing 26-year-old Barcelona star

Liverpool no longer interested in Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie

Contrary to recent rumours, Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is no longer a Liverpool transfer target. The Reds now look to bolster their midfield and continue to look at other players.

ECHO talked about the Reds pursuing Franck Kessie for a move, but a recent revelation from The Athletic‘s Liverpool correspondent James Pearce discussed how the Ivorian international is not on the Reds’ transfer radar.

While Kessie is undoubtedly a talented player with notable experience in top-level football, Liverpool’s decision not to pursue his signature suggests that they have alternative plans in mind to strengthen their squad.

While Kessie’s skill set and attributes may be admirable, the club has likely identified other targets who better fit their specific needs and complement the existing midfield personnel. Players like Alexis Mac Allister and a few other targets who could fit the Reds’ plan better might be subject to scouting.

Who if not Kessie?

This decision does not diminish the 26-year-old abilities or potential as a player. It simply reflects Liverpool’s strategy of carefully selecting transfer targets who can seamlessly integrate into the squad and make a significant impact on the team’s style of play.

Jurgen Klopp and the club’s hierarchy are known for their meticulous approach to recruitment, ensuring that any potential signings are aligned with the team’s philosophy and requirements. The Reds will surely have a number of other targets who they believe could create an instant impact on the team.

As the transfer window progresses, Liverpool fans can rest assured that the club’s recruitment team is working diligently behind the scenes to identify and secure players who can surely contribute to their future success.

While Kessie’s name may not be on the shortlist, Liverpool’s history of astute signings gives supporters confidence that the club will make the right choices to enhance their squad.
