Liverpool working on three more senior additions over the summer
Apart from the very obvious need for midfield reinforcements over the summer, Liverpool also look set to bring in a centre-back, who is left-footed to boot.
That is as per Fabrizio Romano via Twitter who also mentions that the Reds would love to add on to the signing of Alexis Mac Allister and plan to buy two other midfielders apart from reinforcing the defence.
Liverpool are working on two more new midfielders after Mac Allister but there’s also clear intention to sign a new centre back this summer.
#LFC Klopp and new director Schmadtke, on it — contacts are taking place behind the scenes for new CB, priority left footed.

The Reds see themselves linked with the likes of Goncalo Inacio and Perr Schuurs and hopefully, the Reds have a wider spectrum of players to choose from. The links make absolute sense when we understand the larger point of view as to why we need specifically left-sided or left-footed centre-halves.
With manager Jurgen Klopp fixated on giving Trent Alexander-Arnold an opportunity in advanced roles, the long-term appears as though the Reds will move to a back-three setup with Trent and Andrew Robertson as the wingbacks, as we saw in the latter half of the last season, going 11 games unbeaten with the new system.
More additions for the Reds?
Considering we have Ibrahima Konate on the right side of the three centre-halves and Virgil van Dijk in the centre, we need a left-footer to play on that side of Virgil, and more importantly, provide a rock-solid presence at the back for the Reds.
Having said all of this, the priority remains to get on board young midfielders who could create an instant impact for Liverpool to tackle the transitioning phase and the growing average age of the squad.
We could probably have one more window without actively scouting centre-backs, but if we leave it for later, it might prove to become too late.
Hopefully, we can solve the major issue of our midfield as soon as possible so that we can focus on strengthening the rest of the squad as well.
