Bundesliga ace keen to make Liverpool switch should the opportunity arise

Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch would ‘jump at’ Liverpool move

The idea of joining Liverpool excites Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch and he would ‘jump at the opportunity’ of joining the Merseysiders.

FootballTranfers via ECHO have stated Gravenberch remains ‘very high’ on Jurgen Klopp’s shortlist and would be open to a move to Anfield should it present itself. This is all exciting as Liverpool are in dire need of midfield reinforcements, and if a player like Gravenberch remains ready to make the switch, the Reds should try their best to bring him to Anfield.

Following his €24m move to Bayern from Ajax last summer, Gravenberch has struggled to garner as much playing time as he would have desired. At Liverpool, things could change drastically as he surely has the talent to start week in and week out for the Reds.

The 21-year-old is an elite dribbler with a wide range of passing skills and unlike most of the midfielders at Liverpool, he has age on his side and that is the most crucial factor in Liverpool pursuing him.

Gravenberch to the Reds?

We oversaw the departure of three midfielders this summer, with possibly more players on their way out. Keeping that in mind, it is certainly crucial that we replace those outgoing players with players of better quality.

Moreover, he recently spoke about his difficulties in his debut season in the Bundesliga and sounded rather open to a move. That is surely indicative of the fact that his time at Bavaria has been far from ideal for him personally.

Liverpool have lacked a creative spark in their midfield for the longest time now, and Alexis Mac Allister was brought in to bridge that gap. To compliment his style of play, we need a box-to-box player who runs the hard yards, and Gravenberch fits the bill in that context. We had an Emre Can for a Phillipe Coutinho, and the situation demands something of that sort again.

Not only that, the potential addition of Gravenberch would surely increase the competition for places within the XI, promoting a healthy competitive environment, with everyone striving for the best.

Hopefully, we sign more players before the beginning of our pre-season campaign, and Gravenberch is one of them.
