Ex-Agent of Hirving Lozano: Liverpool is a dream destination for him
Napoli winger Hirving Lozano is presently subject to a move to Saudi Arabia. Premier League clubs including the likes of West Ham and Aston Villa also show interest in the player. However, the player dreams of clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United, according to his former agent.
Speaking to Radio Punto Nuovo via Mondo Napoli (h/t ECHO), Lozano‘s former agent, Alessandro Monfrecola spoke about the interest of several clubs in securing the 27-year-old’s services and here is what he said:
“West Ham and Aston Villa have shown interest in Lozano, but it seems to be a timid interest. Lozano has always dreamed of clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United, so I don’t think he can be very attracted to them [the other two].”
Interestingly, the Reds were in “pole position” in December to secure Lozano’s services, but then, we got on board Cody Gakpo and he has been magnificent for the Reds in his time at the club so far.
While it is true that the Reds need the services of a winger to back Mohamed Salah up on the right wing. Signing Lozano would mean a quality player almost certain to deliver immediate results. We could do with younger players as well but there’s no harm in bringing him in, considering he is a readymade product.
Lozano, at 27, is in the prime of his career and could surely add quality to the team. However, investing in young players helps secure the long-term future of the club. Speaking of Lozano, the Mexican international is primarily a right-winger capable of playing on either flank.
If Lozano would enjoy the opportunity of playing for Liverpool, there is little reason why we should not try and lure him to join forces with Jurgen Klopp and Co. at Anfield.
Under the German manager, the Mexican winger could potentially unlock new levels of performance and contribute significantly to Liverpool’s quest for silverware.
In 41 appearances across all competitions last season, he scored four goals and got as many assists.

Squad depth is crucial for sustained excellence, and adding a player of Lozano’s calibre would undoubtedly strengthen Liverpool’s options in the final third. His versatility across the forward positions would provide Klopp with tactical flexibility and the ability to rotate his star-studded attack.
