Jurgen Klopp ‘orders’ Liverpool to make a move for Bayern Munich star Ryan Gravenberch
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ‘ordered’ the club authorities to make a move for Bayern Munich’s Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch in the ongoing summer transfer window.
That is according to El Nacional via ECHO. The German gaffer ‘looks’ to take advantage of the player’s situation as he struggles for game-time at the Bundesliga Champions. Following a move from Ajax Amsterdam amid a lot of hype last summer, the player has had it tough to garner enough playing minutes.
The Dutchman’s style of play suits the Reds like a glove and Klopp hopes to make best use of the player. With only five starts in a total of 33 appearances across all competitions, Gravenberch would surely want the situation to change.
Liverpool’s pursuit of Gravenberch makes sense considering their midfield requirements. With the departure of a number of players, there is a void to fill in the team’s engine room. Gravenberch’s technical skills, physicality, and ability to dictate play from the middle of the park align with the attributes Liverpool typically seek in their midfielders.
Gravenberch to the Reds?
The move to Liverpool could provide Gravenberch with the platform to unlock his true potential. Under Klopp’s tutelage, young players have flourished, and the high-intensity playing style employed by the Reds would suit the Dutchman’s attributes.
While Gravenberch has faced challenges at Bayern, a switch to Liverpool could offer him the chance to establish himself as a key figure in Klopp’s plans. The opportunity to work alongside experienced midfielders such as Jordan Henderson, former Bayern star Thiago and Fabinho would further aid his development.
Gravenberch, at just 21 years old, possesses immense potential and has already shown glimpses of his quality.
Klopp’s interest in the young midfielder certainly suggests a long-term vision for Liverpool’s midfield, aiming to secure a talented player who could grow and develop under his guidance.
