Liverpool target Sofyan Amrabat ‘agrees’ Manchester United transfer

In a surprising turn of events, Liverpool-linked midfielder Sofyan Amrabat appears to be on the verge of joining Manchester United.

According to Moroccan journalist Izem Anass via ECHO, the 26-year-old has agreed to make the move to Old Trafford, with only one final detail to be settled before the deal is finalized.

The news has sent a sense of shock through a section of the Reds’ fans, who had been hopeful of landing Amrabat as a potential replacement for the outgoing Fabinho. The Mirror had suggested that Liverpool was one of the five clubs vying for the Morocco star’s signature.

Meanwhile, in Italy, La Nazione, via Sport Witness claim that Manchester United is the only club showing concrete interest in Amrabat. The Red Devils are reportedly just €5m short of Fiorentina’s €30m valuation for the midfielder.

For Liverpool, missing out on Amrabat would be a significant blow, considering their need to strengthen the midfield following the potential departures of key players like Fabinho and Jordan Henderson. Amrabat’s versatility and technical abilities would have made him an excellent addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The possibility of the Morocco star joining their rivals might leave Liverpool fans feeling disappointed and anxious about the club’s transfer strategy.
