Barcelona lead the race for Liverpool target Arthur Vermeeren

Liverpool have found themselves in the middle of another transfer saga as Reds’ target Arthur Vermeeren of Royal Antwerp is also on the radar of multiple other clubs.

That is according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo via ECHO, the likes of Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam show a lot of interest in the versatile 18-year-old midfielder. Primarily operating in central midfield, Vermeeren can also put in a shift as a defensive midfielder.

In 46 appearances across all competitions for his club, Vermeeren has one goal and four assists to his name. For Liverpool, the pursuit of Vermeeren aligns with their strategy of investing in young, promising talents who have the potential to shape the club’s future.
