29-year-old talented Polish midfielder is back on Liverpool’s radar

Liverpool linked with a move for Piotr Zielinski once again

The Reds like many top clubs, have had their share of near misses and opportunities taken by others. One such name that Liverpool fans might recall is that of Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

A few years ago, Zielinski saw himself linked with a move to Anfield, and his potential addition to the Liverpool squad was the subject of much speculation. However, fate had different plans for the versatile central midfielder, and he opted to join Napoli instead. This decision ultimately led him to Serie A glory, as Zielinski celebrated his team’s triumph earlier this year.

Now, with the future once again uncertain, Zielinski has reemerged on Liverpool’s radar. Liverpool, along with West Ham are in the mix as a potential destination in the Premier League, while Juventus also see themselves linked due to their need for reinforcements following the bans of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Liverpool linked with a move for Piotr Zielinski once again.

That is as reported by Football 365 via ECHO. His contract with Napoli expires in 2024 (Transfermarkt), making him an attractive prospect for clubs looking to secure his services on a free transfer.

Piotr to the Reds?

Zielinski, at 29 years of age, brings a wealth of experience and quality to any midfield he graces. His versatility in the centre of the park makes him an asset who can adapt to various roles and tactical setups. This versatility is precisely what caught the eye of Liverpool’s scouts in the past, and it’s clear that the interest has been rekindled.

Zielinski’s blend of technical ability, vision, and work rate make him a valuable asset on the pitch. He is equally capable of contributing defensively as he is in creating goal-scoring opportunities. Three goals and as many assists from 14 appearances across all competitions this season as well.

Liverpool scouts know most things about Piotr Zielinski.

With midfielders like Jordan Henderson and James Milner moving on and the uncertainty surrounding the long-term future of Thiago, Zielinski could fill a crucial role in the squad.

Only time will tell whether or not he joins the Reds, but the prospect of seeing Zielinski grace the hallowed turf of Anfield is an exciting one for Liverpool supporters.
