Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp makes Wataru Endo claim

Jurgen Klopp always knows how to keep supporters on the edge of their seats. His latest declaration about Wataru Endo, the 30-year-old Japanese midfielder, has added a new layer of intrigue to Liverpool FC’s ongoing season.

Endo, a seasoned international who plied his trade with Stuttgart before making the switch to Anfield, has featured in 12 matches for Liverpool since his summer arrival. However, he’s only managed to complete two full games, leaving many fans wondering about his adaptation and integration into the Liverpool system.

The manager has a unique way of handling these situations. He recently spoke about Endo’s development and made a claim that could raise a few eyebrows.

Here is what the manager told BBC:

“He played a lot of games and if he plays all the games people say ‘ah but he’s not starting in the Premier League’. It’s a little bit rhythm, but he will definitely start games in the Premier League, 100%.”

Klopp reminded everyone that it’s not uncommon for new arrivals to take some time to adjust to Liverpool’s high-intensity style of play. He referenced the case of Andy Robertson as well, who, despite being a pivotal part of the squad now, did not play for half a year initially.

Endo for the Reds

The gaffer’s statement underscores his faith in Endo’s potential and his long-term vision for the player. It’s a testament to Klopp’s understanding that adaptation and integration take time, and he believes Endo is super important to the team’s future.

While Klopp’s words provide comfort to Liverpool supporters, the “eye test” might tell a slightly different story. Endo appears to be adjusting slowly to the team’s rhythm. The high-paced, relentless pressing and fast transitions that Liverpool is famous for can be challenging for any newcomer, and Endo has faced his fair share of difficulties until now.
