Brentford manager Thomas Frank heaped praise on Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah after the Premier League loss at Anfield
Brentford boss Thomas Frank commends Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after his sensational performance against the Bees. Liverpool beat Brentford 3-0 in the Premier League game at Anfield on Sunday, before the November international break.
Salah scored two goals against the Bees in the 39th minute and the 62nd minute of the game. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made various tactical changes after revamping the midfield in the summer. The German calls his new-look team “Liverpool 2.0” as they look to challenge the dominant Manchester City once again.
Klop tweaked Salah’s role in the first team as the Egypt captain is playing a wider role at the right. The 31-year-old has adapted well in his new role as he relies more on link-up and creativity than his pace.
Frank claimed (h/t Liverpool Echo) that Salah’s level of consistency makes him the best player in the Premier League. He said:
“Mo Salah gets praised a lot but I don’t know if he gets enough praise. I think now off the top of my head, he is the best player in the Premier League, potentially. In terms of goals and assists, what a level. He must be one of the top offensive players in the world. Not like top 10 but top three.”
The Egypt international has scored 12 goals while providing four assists from 17 games in all competitions this season. Salah has maintained his high output despite a slight decline in his pace and ability to beat defenders.
The 31-year-old is two goals away from 200 for the Reds since joining from Roma in the summer of 2017. Salah has made 322 appearances for Liverpool and contributed 198 goals and 83 assists, a consistent leading goal-scorer each season.
Mo Salah makes it 10 goals and 4 assists in 12 Premier League games this season.

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table with just one point separating them from League leaders, City. The Egypt captain remains a pivotal cog in the new-built Klopp side that has made steep progress this season.
Salah is just three goals behind Erling Haaland in the Premier League Golden Boot race for this season. The 31-year-old remains the key goal threat at Anfield despite playing more in the role of a provider.
