Liverpool and Chelsea express interest in Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes

Liverpool and Chelsea are monitoring Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes alongside many top European clubs. Despite the massive price tag, Bruno has attracted interest from big European clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Magpies are currently facing restrictions in the transfer market due to the Financial Fair Play rule. They need to sell some of their star players to reinvest in the squad once again.

Bruno is Newcastle’s most lucrative asset in the squad, and he would command an extremely high value. Meanwhile, Chelsea used their spending power during the summer to beat Liverpool and sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Many speculates have suggested that the Reds goaded their rival into spending over-the-top prices to sign Caicedo and Lavia. Both the players have struggled to justify the astronomical payment Chelsea made for them.

Fichajes reported that Liverpool and Chelsea are gearing up for another transfer market battle over Bruno. Bruno’s release clause is more than €115m (£98.9m) and Newcastle would sell him for the price close to that.

Liverpool signed Wataru Endo to bolster their number six position in midfield, a transfer deal that surprised everyone. Endo has been a sensational deal so far, delivering fantastic since adjusting to the pace of the Premier League.

Another summer signing, Alexis Mac Allister, has played in the make-shift role as a defensive midfielder and delivered. Mac Allister received praise for doing a fantastic job until Endo caught up to the tactical requirements and physical demands.

Vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has played the number six role as well, dominating the game with his creativity. Liverpool have used Joe Gomez at right-back to compensate for the move and Conor Bradley would play at right-back too.

The Brazilian is rather slow despite his impressive performances and the qualities that he possesses. He can struggle with Liverpool’s style of play under Jurgen Klopp which demands high-intensity pressing and counter-pressing.
