Liverpool are planning to challenge Arsenal and Real Madrid to secure the signature of Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams
Liverpool are ready to battle Arsenal and Real Madrid to sign Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams next summer. As Nico Williams continues to gain a reputation for his consistent performances, Aston Villa has also shown interest in the 21-year-old forward.
Standing at 1.81 metres, he is already physically well-built to hold his own at the topmost league in Europe. The Bilbao Academy product has the strength, pace, and stamina to challenge any defender in physical duels.
Williams has earned a reputation for his ability to progress forward with the ball at his feet, beating defenders. He is hard to dispossess, and he has strong dribbling skills, close control and trickery to get past any defence
The Spain international’s unpredictability makes it hard for opposition defenders to anticipate his movements on and off the ball. He dominantly plays as a left winger but has the versatility to play at the right-wing as well.
The 21-year-old has scored five goals and provided 10 assists from 24 appearances in all competitions this season. The Mirror reported that Liverpool are ready to challenge Arsenal and Real Madrid to sign him and bolster their attack.
The Reds are currently at the top of the Premier League table and position second in the most goals scored. They have scored 52 goals in the Premier League till now, enjoying a fluid and cohesive attacking style of play.
