Liverpool are ready to challenge top European clubs for the signature of Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov
Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov is a top target for many European clubs including current Premier League leaders Liverpool. Sudakov has enjoyed a steep rise in his reputation, attracting interest from Juventus, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester City.
The 21-year-old plays as an attacking central midfielder but he has displayed versatility to play as a left midfielder too. Standing at 1.77 metres, he is capable of holding his own against any opposition in the duels despite his age.
The Ukraine international is capable with both of his feet, displaying close control, agility and technical prowess. His ball control and balance help him operate in congested spaces and wiggle out of tough situations.
The technical aspects of his game are extraordinarily strong but leave plenty of room for development at the same time. Mentally, he is very professional and works hard for himself and his teammates, showing maturity beyond his age.
The 21-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, contributing with three goals and an assist so far. Earlier this season, he missed four games due to appendicitis but holds a good injury record overall.
Italian publication Calciomercato reported that several European clubs including Liverpool want to sign Sudakov in the upcoming transfer window. The Uruguayan’s value would continue to rise as he gains more experience in the senior-most level.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revamped the midfield during the summer, signing midfielders capable of playing in various positions. The diversity, fluidity and cohesiveness have helped the Reds enjoy a successful first half of the season.
Georgiy Sudakov’s release clause will be already available in the summer and it’s worth €150m.
