Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister continues to drive his team amid a severe injury crisis at the club

Squawka provided the stats that showed the influence of Alexis Mac Allister as the Liverpool squad battles an injury crisis. The Reds beat Nottingham Forest 0-1 with a dramatic late goal in the 99th minute of the game.

Darwin Nunez scored a late header after Mac Allister won the ball from Callum Hudson-Odoi and provided the assist. The Argentine has been a consistent performer in recent games when Liverpool needed their senior players to step up.

The Reds are facing a severe injury crisis with numerous important first-team players facing sidelines due to various injuries. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Stefan Bajcetic are the long-term injuries.

Furthermore, Mohamed Salah failed to make it to the matchday squad and continues to be under observation as he recovers. Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Nunez played in the second half after returning from their respective injuries.

Stat-based site Sqauwka used their official X account to reveal that Mac Allister created six chances against Forest. The number of chances is the most he has ever provided in a single Premier League game.

The 25-year-old has played in the deep role as a number six in the absence of Endo or other options. Squawka previously reported that Mac Allister made the most tackles in two premier league games, the most from a Liverpool player in the last three seasons. He won 25 duels in two back-to-back Premier League games against Bournemouth and Chelsea while playing as a number six.

The Argentine has been a pivotal part of Klopp’s team since joining the club in the summer from Brighton. He has shown incredible skills, ability and game intelligence in both the attacking and defensive phases of the game.
