Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp shared his injury concern about Bobby Clark that could sideline him for Manchester United clash

Jurgen Klopp states that a potential injury makes Liverpool youngster Bobby Clark a concern for the FA Cup clash against Manchester United. Clark suffered the potential injury during the Europa League round 16 second-leg victory over Sparta Praha on Thursday.

The Reds beat Sparta 6-1 while scoring four goals in the first 15 minutes of the game, demolishing the visitors. Clark scored the second goal for Liverpool and also provided an assist, playing a key role in the overall gameplay.

The goal against Sparta was his first goal for the Reds’ senior team as Liverpool ended up winning 11-2 on aggregate. Clark showed immense hunger off the ball, fitting perfectly in Klopp’s counter-pressing tactics that caused all the trouble. Klopp substituted the England U19 for Mateusz Musialowski in the 73^rd

Speaking with the press (h/t Metro), Klopp praised Clark but shared the concern about his potential injury during the game. He said:

‘For Bobby it is really nice to see them develop, it was a top performance. it was fantastic. He is the only one we worry [about] a little bit. I hope it’s nothing. He sat there and said he felt something so we had to take him off. Besides that, everyone else will be fine.”

Clark has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the senior team, contributing with a goal and two assists. He played a crucial role in the Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea, securing the first trophy of the season.

Klopp has maintained the philosophy of providing opportunities to the academy players despite the daunting ambitions of winning all trophies. Nevertheless, the youngsters have repaid the faith of their manager by constantly producing performances that Liverpool can be proud of.
