Liverpool are keen on acquiring Juventus star Federico Chiesa during the summer
Juventus forward Federico Chiesa is a transfer target for Liverpool amid his reported valuation that is between €40- €45 mil. The Italian star gained the global spotlight due to his performance in Euro 2020 which helped Italy win the tournament.
Standing at 1.75 metres, Chiesa’s low centre of gravity allows him to have balance and close control of the ball. His impressive dribbling skills and ability to progress forward are very handy in counter-attacking and a direct style of play.
Chiesa has deceptive strength that helps him keep control of the ball even in ground duels against strong opponents. The 26-year-old is very hard working and possesses incredible stamina to cover distance throughout the game, helping in pressing opposition.
The Italy international is very versatile, capable of playing in both flanks and behind the main forward according to requirements. He can also play as the lead striker and he has featured mainly as a second striker or a striker.
Chiesa has made 25 appearances for Juventus in all competitions, contributing with seven goals and two assists this season. The lack of productivity from this season coincides with the struggle of the club as a whole. Juventus have particularly struggled to create strong chances and finish opportunities this season despite being third in the Serie A table.
Fichajes reports Liverpool’s interest in signing Chiesa from Juventus in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 26-year-old commands a valuation between €40-€45 million, despite his esteemed reputation in the football realm.
Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table with only goal difference separating them from Arsenal. They have already secured the Carabao Cup and they play Atalanta in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
