Predicted lineup for Liverpool against Manchester United in the Premier League clash 2023–24
Liverpool will be looking to win its first game against Manchester United this season later today. The Reds will continue their Premier League title push at Old Trafford.
Klopp‘s Old Trafford record isn’t the greatest, with the German winning on just two of his 10 visits, but with a Premier League title on the line, three points are vital.
Liverpool lost 4-3 in their previous match, with Amad Diallo netting the winning goal in the 121st minute for the hosts. So it would be interesting to see if Liverpool would be able to take revenge or if history would repeat itself.
Liverpool’s predicted XI for the Premier League clash against Manchester United:
Keeper: Caoimhin Kelleher
He made a smart save in the first minute against Sheffield United and will want a third league clean sheet of the season. The star came in for the replacement of Becker and has been remarkable in the season, getting praise from the Liverpool boss.
Defence: Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk and Robertson
Trent Alexander-Arnold expects to return to action in ‘a couple of weeks’, but for the time being, breakout sensation Conor Bradley is expected to continue at right-back. The teenager is in need of a consistent performance after scoring an own goal against Sheffield United last time out.
Ibrahima Konate was knocked down by a questionable challenge from William Osula against the Blades, but the Frenchman recovered and finished the game, putting him in line to start against United alongside the dependable Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson.
Midfield: Szoboszlai, Endo and Mac Allister
Wataru Endo has been a consistent presence in the middle of the park since his cheap summer transfer from Stuttgart, and the Japanese have proven instrumental in bringing out the best in Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, who play either side of him.
Attack: Salah, Diaz and Nunez
Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, and Luis Diaz have all scored since last weekend, with the former against Sheffield United and the latter two leading Liverpool to a 2-1 victory over Brighton. In light of United’s defensive injury troubles, Klopp will want the attacking trio to give plenty of pace and directness.
