Jamie Redknapp says Liverpool will be ‘furious’ after dropping points despite a ‘dominant’ display against Manchester United

Tonight’s draw against Manchester United will hurt Liverpool and was also unpleasant for former Red, Jamie Redknapp. The pundit had some words regarding the result and mentioned the team would be ‘furious’ about the outcome. Let’s have a look. (h/t Independent)

“They had so many chances. They dominated the match. It’s certainly two points dropped. They will be furious because it is a game they had so much control over.”

Jamie Redknapp also mentioned that Liverpool should have been up by three goals at the halftime break. However, Andre Onana made a terrific save to deny Dominik Szboszlai and Mo Salah was a little wasteful with his chances.

The Reds dominated the entire first half and were the only ones firing away at goal. Manchester United were completely blocked out by Jurgen Klopp’s defensive line and failed to register a single shot during the first 45 minutes.

However, a mistake by Jarell Quansah allowed the Red Devils to get back into the game. The team also did not show any urgency when Kobbie Mainoo had a moment of brilliance and scored a banger from just inside the box.

If Aaron Wan-Bissaka hadn’t fouled Harvey Elliot, Jurgen Klopp’s men would’ve left Old Trafford without any points at all. While the team somehow bounced back, it was a disappointing outcome for them.

However, there is a lot of season left to play and the Reds will come back stronger than ever.
