Dominik Szoboszlai reveals his best friend at Liverpool who he hangs out often with
Dominik Szoboszlai has selected Trent Alexander-Arnold as his best buddy at Liverpool, potentially indicating something to Jurgen Klopp‘s successor.
As the Reds’ manager prepares to depart at the end of the season, his successor will inherit a squad molded by Jurgen Klopp’s vision and philosophy. The challenge for the new manager will be to imprint their own ideas on the team and implement changes accordingly.
Replacing Klopp means stepping into enormous shoes, and winning over the dressing room will be paramount for the new manager. Building rapport with the players and gaining their trust will require adept leadership skills. One effective strategy could be to unite the team’s leaders and leverage existing relationships, both on and off the pitch, to foster cohesion and solidarity within the squad.
Both stars appreciate each other
In an interview with Stadium Astro (h/t Liverpool Echo), the Hungary international talked about whether he’s closest to the right-back at Liverpool:
“Yeah, probably, I’m close with everyone but with Trent we are the same age, outside of football we do almost the same things, we hang out quite a bit and also on the pitch we understand each other well.”
In an earlier interview with Bleacher Report (h/t Liverpool Echo) in October 2023, Alexander-Arnold heaped admiration on the midfielder, who departed RB Leipzig in the summer for Liverpool. The English international said:
“They can do everything, and it’s just natural. That’s the kind of vibe you get with him. He’s a talent that’s very special. He’s an exceptional player and a great lad as well, so he’s someone who is very exciting for the club, very exciting for himself as well.”
The Hungarian playmaker arrived at Liverpool from RB Leipzig last summer for a reported fee of around £60 million, and he quickly endeared himself to his new club with his performances on the pitch.
Building strong bonds between players is essential for team cohesion and morale. These connections can foster motivation and loyalty, enhancing the overall dynamics within the squad. As the new manager takes charge, it will be crucial to recognize and preserve these bonds, as disrupting them could potentially impact the players’ performances on the field.

Since Dominik’s comeback from his hamstring injury, he has been coming back to his form. The midfielder has scored seven goals and four assists in 36 appearances for the Reds. These stats would only improve now that the star has recovered.
