Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the arrival of a key figure at Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the arrival of Arne Slot at Liverpool during his conversation with the Daily Briefing. While there has been no doubt about the arrival of the Dutch manager for a few weeks now, there have been those who have been eagerly waiting for an official announcement from the club.

Romano addressed the issue and said that he has no knowledge of when an official announcement will be made. However, he did reassure the fans by telling them it is already a ‘done deal’. Let’s have a look at what he had to say on the matter. (h/t The Daily Briefing)

“Fans have been eager to know when we’ll get an official announcement on Arne Slot becoming the new manager, but I have no information on this at the moment”

“Still, rest assured that there’s no news on this – it’s a done deal. It’s all set, as previously reported, with the clubs agreeing on compensation, while the Dutch manager has also agreed his contract with Liverpool.”

To the delight of many and the disappointment of a few, Arne Slot will be the head coach of Liverpool when Jurgen Klopp departs at the end of the summer. There has been a lot of debate over how the Dutch manager will fit in at Anfield.

There have also been some concerns developing since the other Dutch manager in England, Erik ten Hag hasn’t exactly been successful during his time with Manchester United. Fans fear that they’ll be in for the same when Slot takes over.

However, the Dutch manager has shown promise and plays an aggressive brand of football that will feel familiar to the players. Also unlike the Red Devils, the Reds have a proper system in place and the return of Michael Edwards will only strengthen their position.

Exciting times are ahead for Liverpool and Arne Slot.

While they have been doing things the right way there’s no guarantee that the Reds will be able to replicate the success that Klopp found during his time at Anfield. However, it is the beginning of a new era, and that alone should excite the fans.
