Liverpool could spring £85m to sign PL proven marksman this summer

As reported by Ghana Soccernet, Liverpool are interested in triggering the £85m release clause of versatile African marksman, Mohammed Kudus, the 23-year-old is admired by Arne Slot. Kudus has been invaluable to West Ham this season.

The Hammers paid a total of £38m for the 23-year-old this past summer. Since his arrival, Kudus has made 47 appearances for the team while recording 17 goals and seven assists. He had some stellar numbers for his first season in the Premier League.

Since the Ghana midfielder has only just arrived at West Ham, the team will likely not be open to the idea of letting him go. However, the Reds don’t plan on negotiating and will be looking to trigger Kudus’ release clause if they go after him.

Real Madrid and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 23-year-old, so Liverpool and Slot will not be having a fun time as they try and sign Kudus this summer. The Ghanaian will likely go for the offer that comes with more playing time guarantees.

At 23, Kudus’ main priority should be to grow and develop his game further, so whoever can guarantee him regular minutes will have an advantage over the other teams eyeing a move for the African star.

Kudus is an extremely versatile player and has proved himself across a number of different positions. So Arne Slot who is a big admirer of the player should be able to find a spot for him in his Liverpool lineup.
