Jurgen Klopp confirms his future plans to most likely quit coaching after Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp confirms that his departure from Liverpool could certainly lead to an end to his coaching days. The beloved German boss completed his final match with a 2-0 victory against Wolves.
After Sunday’s Premier League final, the amazing coach, Jurgen Klopp, who has done it all managing Liverpool and Dortmund, said he would be taking a lengthy vacation from coaching for sure.
Klopp has been connected to many openings after announcing his intention to leave the team earlier in the season, but he believes he won’t be rushing into anything and that the Reds position could have been his last.
Speaking to reporters after his final game for the Reds, Klopp hinted about his future plans. Klopp stated that he would take a good rest following Sunday’s game, but he also made hints that retirement may potentially be imminent. He said:
“It is definitely that my time in England is over because I will not coach another team here. If I manage again it will not be around the corner. Nothing will happen like that. It means a big, big part of my life is definitely over.”
“Yes, this will be a long break, 100%. It might even be it.”
After spending more than nine years at Anfield, Klopp has won eight awards and has been challenged for many more. After taking over for Brendan Rodgers, Klopp led the Reds to eighth place in his debut season.
However, the German then quickly assembled a remarkable squad that later went on to challenge Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, in a number of memorable Premier League title contests.
There are undoubtedly coaching requests lined up for his services. He hasn’t specifically ruled it out. The European Championships would be the ideal setting for him to take a tentative taste of the action without committing to anything long-term.

It is difficult to think that his managerial career is over. However, Klopp has always had an outlook on life outside of football. So maybe we won’t see him on the sidelines much longer if he doesn’t find himself missing the games.
