Liverpool remains interested in the Sporting Lisbon star to fix their defence after Arne Slot’s arrival

According to the Spanish publications Fichajes, Goncalo Inacio, the rising star of Sporting Lisbon, stands out among the names who have been rumoured to be at Liverpool this summer after the appointment of new incoming coach Arne Slot.

Fichajes further confirms that the Lisbon sensation has an interest in joining Liverpool this summer. A great news for the Reds, as the centre-back was on their target from some time.

Liverpool seems to be in desperate need to bolster their defensive lineup this summer. As it is a crucial area of multiple uncertainties in the Arne Slot era. The Reds believes Inacio would be a fine addition to their lineup.

Liverpool’s defence is a problem since important players like Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk‘s futures are unclear. Inacio, who is famous for his defensive playmaking skills and ability to release opponent pressure, would be a valuable addition to the English squad.
