Liverpool prodigy Conor Bradley comments on international career
Conor Bradley enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with Liverpool in the recently concluded season and also rubberstamped his place as a regular fixture in Northern Ireland’s squad.
The 20-year-old was recently on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Spain, but with a bunch of young teammates, the future looks very bright for the team.
Bradley has now commented on his international career. While he rues missing out on the European Championship in Germany this summer, he has set ambitious goals for his career.
Belfast Telegraph quoted the right-back saying the following:
My main aim is help Northern Ireland qualify for a major tournament. I have friends playing in the Euros and I’ll be keeping an eye but I’ll also be gutted I’m not in the Euros. I’ll definitely be watching it.”
As many as nine Liverpool players will be representing their nations at Euro 2024 and with England, The Netherlands and Portugal all having a player from Anfield, it is on the cards that a Red wins the tournament.
There will also be a number of Liverpool stars featuring in the Copa America in the United States this summer. It is understandable that Conor Bradley has big ambitions and it may be soon that Northern Ireland also qualify for a major event.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup may come too soon for the team, but Euro 2028 is a realistic target. A number of the current players will still be around and have four more years of experience under their belts.
