Turkish giants Besiktas have entered the race to sign Loris Karius from Liverpool, according to Fanatik (h/t Liverpool Echo).
Karius was dropped to the bench in our first game of the season against West Ham United as Alisson started in the 4-0 win.
The report also adds that the Turkish giants recently sold their first-choice keeper Fabri to Fulham, meaning they are on the lookout for a replacement.
Simon Mignolet is another keeper that Liverpool Echo believes will leave the club. However, that could be a worrisome prospect for Liverpool since we could be left with youngsters Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher as cover for Alisson.
Karius was our No. 1 last season but he has committed a few high-profile errors during his time at Anfield.
It would come as no surprise if the German wants to move away in search of regular first-team action as Alisson will start the majority of our games this season.
The Brazilian wasn’t tested much in the 4-0 win over West Ham but he did a decent job between the sticks.

Selling both Karius and Mignolet could turn out to be a problem for us – particularly if Alisson picks up an injury. Jurgen Klopp should keep hold of one keeper and between the pair, Karius still has the potential to become a world-class performer in the years to come.
