Latest Liverpool news: Fans react to Roberto Firmino’s injury against Manchester United

The tepid 0-0 draw against Manchester United would probably be remembered for four substitutes taking place in the first half.

United were hit by three problems while Liverpool had their issue when Roberto Firmino had to be taken off.

The Brazilian started the game brightly but had to be replaced with Daniel Sturridge coming on.

The Englishman doesn’t play the Firmino role and that was missed as we barely created chances in the game. United had the better opportunities, even after having to make several changes to their starting XI.

Unsure about the extent of Firmino’s injury

The Liverpool Echo reports that Firmino is a doubt for the Watford clash and left Old Trafford on crutches.

The Brazilian has been ever present in the team this season, and Jurgen Klopp was unsure about the severity of the injury (h/t Liverpool Echo):

“Unfortunately I have no clue (how bad it is) but it was something with the ankle.”

The manager believed that Firmino could recover quickly but it is to be seen what the injury is:

“I don’t know exactly. It’s Bobby, so it will be quicker than all the others. But first we have to know what exactly it is.”

The Brazilian is one of the keys to our style and not having him for a few games would be a blow to the Reds.

Liverpool looked poor in attack without Firmino in the tie, and many Reds were hopeful of a quick return for the Brazilian.
