Liverpool FC transfer news: Pascal Gross isn’t sure about Liverpool rumours
Pascal Gross was one of the players of the season last time around as he sparkled for Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 27-year-old signed from Ingolstadt provided seven goals and eight assists for Chris Hughton’s side as they avoided relegation from the Premier League.
The Mirror reports that the German is being linked with a summer move to Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp had spoken positively regarding the former Bundesliga star.
Reports (h/t Mirror) suggest that the Reds will be in the market for a No.10 in the summer after failing to land Nabil Fekir. However, Gross wasn’t keeping his hopes up while speaking to Goal (h/t Mirror):
“Of course it is an honour when such rumours arise.
“But I have not heard anything concrete.”
An average season for the German this time
Gross hasn’t been as effective for the Seagulls this season. The midfielder’s campaign has been hampered with injuries and has only recorded two goals and two assists from 19 Premier League appearances.
The Reds have several options in midfield and the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from injury will be a huge boost this season.
The Englishman hasn’t played since the Champions League semi-final against Roma last season. Further, Naby Keita is yet to show his best since his summer move from RB Leipzig, and he could do a job in our midfield too.

Gross would be a decent back-up player to have in the team, and would certainly provide competition for the midfielders in the side.
