Latest Liverpool news: James Pearce confirms he will leave the Liverpool Echo

Pearce had insights from the club, and broke several stories and provided exclusives too.

The journalist claimed that he is set to take up a new opportunity and will be at the Liverpool Echo until 5th July.

Twitter in meltdown after Pearce’s tweet

The journalist was often the first to break the news of Liverpool not being interested in reported targets, and he even had a lengthy interview with Jurgen Klopp before the start of the last season.

Pearce also thanked the supporters for their kind wishes as the news of him leaving the Echo broke, and Jamie Carragher also posted about Kylian Mbappe’s news being broken by the journalist.

The Liverpool Echo man often broke stories of confirmed signings of the Reds, and many Liverpool supporters tweeted that there could be one more big signing before Pearce leaves.

Twitter was filled with reactions from several fans as they expressed their shock and sadness, and here are some of the best responses to the news.
