James Maddison should move to Liverpool or Manchester City for better terms than Leicester

James Maddison has been one the stars of the season and has helped Leicester City to a great start.

The 22-year-old scored the winner against Tottenham last week, and the Foxes have lost just one game from their opening six clashes in the Premier League.

The former Norwich star has been linked with Manchester United (h/t Daily Star) but Leicester’s former boss Micky Adams believes Liverpool could provide Maddison with more.

Adams told the Daily Star that Liverpool and their rivals Manchester City have greater ambitions than Leicester, and he should only look at those two clubs:

“Leicester have shown in terms of wages and ambition that they’re as good as anyone.

“Maddison would have to go to Manchester City or a Liverpool to improve on what he’s got at Leicester.”

The former boss did have some words of warning for the 22-year-old and wanted him to continue working hard on his football.

Maddison at Liverpool?

The Englishman has been in great form since joining from Norwich City and has improved leaps and bounds this season.

The 22-year-old is an England international and should be in line to start more games for the Three Lions.

Maddison provides a lot of creativity from the midfield and Liverpool do not have such a midfielder in their ranks.

The youngster wouldn’t come on the cheap given his quality and potential but Liverpool should have the money in the bank to sign big players after a low-key summer.
