Jurgen Klopp is keen to add to his squad to improve upon the success that the Reds have achieved over the last two seasons. The losses to Chelsea in the FA Cup and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League have showcased that our squad could do with a few more additions in order to compete on different fronts.
Liverpool are currently 25 points clear of Manchester City and can use this leverage to attract elite talent over the summer.
The infallible scorer
As reported by the Athletic (h/t Mirror), the Reds have overtaken Chelsea in the race for German ace Timo Werner. The versatile defensive lynchpin
The Merseysiders are also keen on Gladbach’s defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria. According to Sky Germany (h/t Mirror), Gladbach are confident of keeping the player if they qualify for the Champions League.
