Trent Alexander-Arnold reaches last eight of ePL Invitational
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has reached the last eight of ePL Invitational, after thrashing a representative from arch-rivals Manchester United (h/t Liverpoolfc.com).
Our full-back went up against musician Tom Grennan, who was chosen as Manchester United’s representative. And, much like he does on the field, Alexander-Arnold thrashed his opponent in a game of EA Sports FIFA 20, beating him 5-1.
Reacting to the win, our academy man said:
“First half he had more chances and shots than me but Alisson saved me with big saves. In the second half I came out and scored a few more goals, and that was the game really. I was gutted at the end with the goal conceded.”
Alexander-Arnold will be facing off against Newcastle United’s Christian Atsu next in the ePL Invitational.
The ePL Invitational campaign has been launched in order to encourage people to stay at home during the lockdown that is in place due to coronavirus.

In a similar tournament organised by EA Sports, the Stay and Play Cup, Alexander-Arnold was defeated by Jesper Karlström’s Djurgarden at the quarter-final stages (h/t BBC).
Hopefully, the 21-year-old manages to go beyond that in the ePL Invitiational and clinches a trophy. That will be something for us to celebrate before we get our hands on the Premier League title.
