Georginio Wijnaldum has a transfer agreement with Inter Milan
According to Sport Witness (h/t ECHO), Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly agreed on a transfer to Inter Milan. Wijnaldum is currently in the final few months of his contract at Liverpool which is set to expire at the end of the season.
Despite the situation regarding his contract, Wijnaldum has played a vital part for the Reds this season. He has been a constant presence in midfield with the likes of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho playing in defence. That has been the case due to all of the first-choice defenders being injured through large chunks of the season.
Nonetheless, Wijnaldum is yet to sign a new deal with Liverpool. That means he is free to leave the club at the end of this season. Also, he can start talks with any club now regarding a free transfer for next season.
Reports suggest that transfer talks are already on the way with the Serie A leaders. Inter Milan sporting director Guiseppe Marotta has made a move to sign Georginio Wijnaldum in the summer and Liverpool could lose out on the Dutchman then.
