Liverpool fans can expect some big things next season as Jurgen Klopp was speaking about the plans from the Merseyside giants ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager still isn’t guaranteed Champions League football next season but that doesn’t seem to be a hindrance for the club as they look to build on a decent enough season.
“I think that Liverpool at this moment is a really interesting project for players,” Klopp was reported as saying according to the Liverpool Echo.
“We cannot say 100% we will play Champions League football next year.
“But it’s a young team, it’s a fantastic club, it’s a good situation where we really can see the progress of the team.
“So I would say together with Tottenham, the average age of the team is such that there’s still a lot to come.”
With players such as Naby Keita, Julian Brandt and Virgil van Dijk linked with a move to the Reds and TV money coming into the club next season. The lure of the Premier League and that with the Champions League might be too difficult for most of the players to ignore and fans had a great time on Twitter contemplating who the Reds could sign.
Of course, there were those who believed nothing great was said by Klopp and wanted to take things with a pinch of salt.

Liverpool could sign Leon Goretzka as a more realistic option than Naby Keita. Still a very good midfielder, though.

@LivEchoLFC @JamesPearceEcho Would much rather be reading this after/if we qualify for the champions league, timing is questionable.

@LivEchoLFC @JamesPearceEcho Not really edge of the seat this. We go through these build ups in spring every year since Houllier and fans will end disappointed.

I would say Klopp has two number one transfer targets this summer, Virgil Van Dijk and Naby Keita. (Paul Joyce) pic.twitter.com/nsmnI1u1cQ

FSG finally going big this summer. Won’t mean anything though if we don’t get CL as top targets won’t come. Every game a final #LFC
