Liverpool urged to look at Ernest Nuamah, dubbed the next Sadio Mane

According to Liverpool.com, there is a Sadio Mane replacement in Ernest Nuamah who plays for Danish side FC Nordsjælland and is someone for Liverpool to keep an eye out for in the future.

Nuamah has made his senior debut this season itself and has already given five contributions in the first eight fixtures of the Danish League. He boasts an explosive pace and incredible ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations and has shown the composure needed to lead an attack.

He has touted comparisons of his game to former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, who made the switch from Merseyside to Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich this summer.

Mane was an integral part of the dominating Liverpool team of the past few seasons and his departure has left a bigger hole than expected.

In his 269 appearances for the club, he amassed 120 goals and notched 48assists. If one has to define his time at the club, his statistics and the number of trophies won is enough to summarise it.

Many speculate one of the major reasons behind Sadio Mane’s departure had been the urge to be the starting centre for a team which due to Mohammad Salah’s presence, seemed distinct. Liverpool tried to fill the gap left by Mane’s departure with the big-money signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica, who was coming off an exceptional season in LigaNos.

However, the Uruguayan forward has not done enough to show he is the heir to Sadio Mane and from a summary of his month at Anfield, it does feel like it would be long before he reaches that level.

Therefore, Julian Ward might be required to pull off a trick from Micheal Edwards’ book and look for rough diamonds who, with the right development, can turn out to be world-beaters.

Nuamah is certainly one name to keep an eye on and if needed, the tenacity to act fast before the big clubs start circling around. Bear in mind, the Reds aren’t linked with him and this is just a player that Liverpool.com believes Liverpool would be wise to look at.
