Barcelona star Ansu Fati wants to move to a big club like Liverpool rather than Tottenham Hotspur
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona Ansu Fati does not fancy a move to Tottenham Hotspur and prefers joining a big club like Liverpool or Atletico Madrid.
It is revealed that Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes is pushing him to accept a loan offer from Tottenham. Since Spurs have lost Harry Kane this summer, they are naturally after attacking reinforcements.
But, while it is good to know that the Spaniard’s ambitions are high, a move to Liverpool is only possible if Mohamed Salah leaves the club late in the window to play for Al-Ittihad.
Fati, 20, is still a young player who has bags of potential to become one of the best wide forwards in the world.
Having started his career with a bang four years ago, the youngster’s career took a sudden bad turn when he suffered a serious injury in 2020.
When a young player suffers a major injury, it naturally takes them more time than others to recover the form lost on the field.
While he is an exceptional talent who would do well in due course, he is not Salah yet. So, Liverpool must focus on keeping the latter for this season and hope to find a suitable replacement like Fati next summer, if he is available then.
Salah is not just a goal-scoring machine but also a playmaking genius. Only Kevin de Bruyne has assisted more goals in the Premier League than the Egyptian since the latter arrived at Anfield in 2017. The goals he has scored are off the charts anyway.
