Liverpool finally sacked Brendan Rodgers after he failed to guide his team to beat Everton at Goodison Park. An official statement by the club read, “The search for a new manager is underway and we hope to make an appointment in a decisive and timely manner.”
According to the latest reports, Liverpool have made former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp their first choice to replace Rodgers. These reports claim that talks are on-going and if all things go well, Liverpool should announce their new manager before the next league game.
Ex-Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is also being considered as a back-up option by Liverpool. Both are top-level managers with good experience, but the Anfield faithfuls would love to see some “Heavy Metal” Style of football under the German Tactician.
