Liverpool star Andy Robertson delivered a fantastic captain’s performance for Scotland in a 0-0 UEFA Nations League draw against Portugal. Scotland earned their first point in League A, Group One with this draw against the group leaders with this display.

They almost scored a goal when Robertson provided a fine opportunity for Scott McTominay who failed to convert his chance. After McTominay squandered the opportunity in the opening minutes, Portugal controlled most of the game, displaying a difference in quality.

Nevertheless, under Robertson’s leadership and inspiring performance, Scotland managed to keep a clean sheet against a dangerous Portuguese attacking depth. The 30-year-old controlled the left-flank, combining with Liverpool youngster Ben Doak who is enjoying a fine loan spell this season.
