“SAS”, “Fantastic Four” – Some Liverpool fans go crazy after Reds’ stunning pre-season win

Liverpool wrapped up their pre-season with a 3-1 win over Torino at Anfield and will now prepare for the clash against West Ham United in the Premier League.

Goals from Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Georginio Wijnaldum gave the Reds a comfortable victory, though Torino gave a good account of themselves in front of a raucous Anfield crowd.

There are some concerns about our defence as Joe Gomez could not play the game, with Dejan Lovren only returning from his break, and Joel Matip nursing an injury (h/t Guardian).

Andrea Belotti got the goal for the away side but Fabinho should have given us the lead in the first half after we were given a penalty.

The Brazilian missed the spot kick but that wasn’t costly. The Reds seem to be in great form ahead of the season.

The Liverpool fans were certainly ready to share their views on the game and here are some of the reactions to the victory.

“Legend Already” – Some Liverpool fans in awe after new signing’s incredible bicycle goal vs Man United

Liverpool seem to be in great form ahead of the season as the Reds thrashed Manchester United 4-1 in the final game of the International Champions Cup.

The Reds did start with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the first half but the star of the show turned out to be Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss star was playing his first game for us and he was excellent throughout. The scoring started, whoever, when Mohamed Salah won a penalty for us and Sadio Mane put the ball into the net in the 28th minute.

The lead did not last long as Andreas Pereira struck home a wonderful free-kick but the real damage was done in the second half.

Shaqiri held off a challenge from a United defender and laid off the ball on the edge of the box for Daniel Sturridge to stroke it into the net, off the post.

Two quickly became three when we won another penalty, thanks to Andy Robertson. Sheyi Ojo, surprisingly, took the penalty and scored to make it 3-1 for us.

The goal of the game came in the 82nd minute as Liverpool completely dominated United throughout the fixture. The ball was looped back into the United penalty box and up stepped Shaqiri to smash home an incredible bicycle kick.

A goal and an assist on his first start for the Reds, Shaqiri was incredible and even though this was just a pre-season match, the Liverpool fans were ecstatic with the result and even more with new star, Xherdan Shaqiri.

Here are some of the reactions from the fans as they went berserk on Twitter.
