Fabinho got only his second start of the season in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Red Star Belgrade. The Brazilian last started in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup but was immense last night.
The former Monaco star needed time to show his best to the Anfield faithful, but he didn’t start off well against the Serbs.
The 25-year-old seemed to be a little slow to match up to the pace of the game. However, once he got into the groove, there was no stopping him.
The midfielder was tackling players left and right, his distribution was great and he was willing to dribble the ball and link-up with the attackers.
It was great seeing him in full flow and this is just a taste of what he brings to the side. Liverpool were good in this game but not as clinical as in some games last season.
Fabinho is a brilliant acquisition from Jurgen Klopp and we are certainly going to see a lot more of him in the coming months.
Many fans also loved the Brazilian’s performance and here are their reactions to the midfielder from last night.
Fabinho was incredible last night. Give him another month or so, some more minutes on the pitch and he’s going to exceed all expectations. Absolute beast. 🔴🔴🔴🔴 #LFC

Fabinho was brilliant last night. Excited to see more of him now. Such a shame though, that his performance has brought all the cretins out of the woodwork to try stick the knife into Henderson. What sad lives they must lead.

Yes Fabinho lad, only gonna get better and better! Some great tackling by him. Not much will get past him this season.

Gini and Fabinho were glorious in the middle tonight. Loads of other great performances of course but yeah, boss.
It’s been the norm for Gini this season, but a first proper look at Fabinho. Yeah, he is going to be bloody incredible.#LFC pic.twitter.com/EnMLvUbRJF
