Opinion: 3 Players Who Could Leave Liverpool Next Season Including This Super Brazilian

Liverpool fans are expecting changes at the club after the arrival of Jurgen Klopp. They are excited to see what players he will be bringing in. They are expecting players from Borussia Dortmund and also young talented players. But, it is also a true fact that Klopp will be offloading some of the Liverpool players and will be replacing them with better one. Here we look at three players who will probably leave Liverpool at the of the season.

P.S: We have only included those players who feature more in the first team. This article is not completely based on the chances of a player leaving.

1. Philippe Coutinho:

Reports are floating around that Barcelona will try to buy the highly rated Brazilian from Liverpool. It will be difficult for Liverpool to hold him at Anfield if they don’t secure a Champions League spot. There are chances that Coutinho may still leave even if Liverpool claim a top-four spot in the Premier League. If an offer comes from Barcelona, it will be an opportunity for him to unite with his Brazilian friend, Neymar. And also he does not quite fit into Klopp’s style. Klopp needs players with high work rate and a good speed. He wants his players to press tirelessly. Coutinho is a talented player and has good ball skills, but he does not tick all of Klopp’s boxes.

2. Simon Mignolet:

The Belgian Goalkeeper has proved his worth in shot stopping, but he has failed to establish himself as a complete Goalkeeper. His weaknesses in set pieces, decision making, etc have been exposed quite a few number of times. Mignolet has saved Liverpool at times and has earned points for them, but Klopp may look to replace him with someone better and more talented.

3. Joe Allen:

The midfield will definitely be the area which Klopp will be looking to improve. There are two players who are likely to leave Liverpool from the midfield, it is either Joe Allen or Lucas Leiva. We have selected Allen because he is a central midfielder and Lucas is a defensive midfielder. There are strong reports that Liverpool are targeting a defensive midfielder.

Recent reports claim that it is Porto’s Ruben Neves that Liverpool is targeting. Never is only 18 years old and he is the youngest player to have captained a side in the champions league. Liverpool Scouts were present at Porto’s Champions League fixture against Maccabi Tel Aviv. It is said that Never will Klopp’s first signing as the Liverpool manager. If that’s true Lucas and Neves will be Liverpool’s only defensive mid options. In the case of Joe Allen, players like Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Emre Can are already above him in the pecking order. And with players like Jordan Rossiter and Carlos Teixeira waiting to impress the new manager, Joe Allen will find it difficult to get a place in the starting lineup.
