Lazar Markovic, who was bought by Liverpool from Benfica during last season’s transfer window for a fee of 20 Million was loaned out to Fenerbahce this season. The young Serb could not establish at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers and that was the reason for him being loaned out.

Reports on Tuesday suggest that Liverpool have an option to call back Markovic from loan during the winter transfer window. And it is also said that new Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, is considering his option to call back Markovic. Liverpool were hit by injuries recently when Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke, Philippe Coutinho, Danny Ings, etc got injured at the same time. Klopp does not have much winger options and Markovic will be a great addition to Klopp’s Liverpool squad.

The Serb scored three goals in his first season at Liverpool. One of the reasons why he couldn’t establish at Liverpool was that he was often played out of position by former Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers.

The winger played a vital role in Fenerbahce’s victory against Bursaspor last month after he provided an assist for one of Fenerbahce’s goals (Fenerbahce won 2-1). He was injured during a match against Besiktas and he was sidelined for three weeks. He returned to action in their 1-0 victory at Kayserispor last weekend.

In his latest interview, the Serbian winger revealed that his relationship with Brendan Rodgers was bad and he blamed the ex-Liverpool manager for playing him out of his favorite position.

He said,

“I didn’t have a good relationship with the coach, that was a problem.

“I played in many positions but didn’t play in mine.”
