3. Dejan Lovren
Lovren was outstanding at his first season in the English premiere league with Southampton. The following year, Brendan Rogers brought him to Anfield and he was expected to be a replacement for Agger. But, the Croatian defender could not reproduce the form he had with Southampton and was part of a defence that conceded a lot of goals in the 2014 season. He also managed to lose his place to Mamadou Sakho and Skrtel and was not favored by Rogers. After the arrival of Jurgen Klopp, Lovren has been a key figure of Liverpool defence and the stats speak for themselves. An injury to Martin Skrtel gave Lovren a lot of opportunities to showcase his talent and he has managed to do that under the reign of Klopp. There was a time when his future seemed uncertain with the club but now he has put all those rumors to bed.
