3 Liverpool Stars Who Have Improved The Most This Year

The 2015-16 season is over and there have been numerous talking points for Liverpool. The season started with a rift as the manager Brendan Rogers was sacked. The team was not looking in a good shape and Anfield was not having the best of days. Then came Jurgen Klopp and with him a lot of hope and anticipation. The new manager brought a lot of confidence in the young side and he has had a tremendous impact ever since. Some of the players who were talented, but not playing at their best have now become the key members of the starting eleven. Here we take a look at the players who have improved the most this year.

Adam Lallana

The English winger joined Liverpool after a successful season with Southampton in 2014 and with his quick feet and abilities to run through defenders, he was expected to deliver the goods at Anfield. However, in his first season he could not make that impact and was sidelined for many fixtures. After the arrival of Klopp, a new revival is observed in the performances of Lallana and he has been much more fluent with his passing and creating chances. His form has been pretty consistent since then and he has become a key member of the squad.

Dejan Lovren

Along with Lallana, Lovren was the other talent who was signed by Brendan Rogers from Southampton. His first season with Liverpool was not one to remember. He was sidelined and was not given the preference due to competition with Skrtel and Sakho. This year has been a different story for the Croatian defender altogether. He showed glimpses of resolute defending and has partnered well with Sakho at the back. Lovren is gradually establishing himself as a center back and if he manages to be a bit more consistent, he can have a promising career at Liverpool.

Joe Allen

The Welsh Pirlo or fondly called as Jesus owing because of his new look, Allen is the player who has completely transformed this season. Most of the changes in his game came after the arrival of Klopp and from a position of leaving the club in the summer, he has become a favourite at Anfield. Liverpool have relied on him heavily during the absence of their skipper Henderson and Allen has stood up to the task. Under Brendan Rogers he was not able to make his presence felt at the club but under Klopp he has been an important member of the club. Allen definitely is one player who the fans would want to stay at the club.
