The speculations regarding the 28-year-old Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain has been taking some topsy-turvy turns lately. The striker, who denied Arsenal three years back to join the Italian side Naploi has been linked with a move to the Emirates yet again, but this time, the deal might surprise the spectators as according to Sky Sports, the Gunners are ready offer their striker Olivier Giroud in a player plus cash deal to bring Huguain in London.
It is understood that the 28-year-old is on the verge to leave the Italians, and due to that, many top clubs are looking to lure the player, who scored 36 goals in Serie A last season. During the Copa America Centenario, Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp was spotted with Higuain’s brother, who also works as his agent and that fueled up the speculation regarding Higuain’s move to Anfield.
Later, many media even reported that Higuain himself is getting ready to work under the management of Jürgen Klopp, but nothing has been materialized till date. The former Real Madrid striker had a great season last term and ended up being a top scorer of Serie A.
Now, if the reports are to be believed, the Italian Champions Juventus have also joined the race to sign the player. ESPN stated that Juventus are ready met his £78 million release clause and the striker himself is keen to join Juventus. But what if he decides to join the Premier League? What will be the better destination for the player? Well, we do believe that Higuaín should go for Liverpool and here, we give you three reasons why?
-
A Perfect Klopp’s Fit-
It is fair to say that neither Sturridge nor Origi have shown a performance that could lead the spectators to bite their nails off. Higuain, on the other hand, is in a great form lately and we totally believe that working under Klopp will only make him better than ever. With Liverpool in a desperate need of a striker, Higuain could fit the bill.
There is no doubt that the 28-year-old is one of the most hard working players in the industry and besides that, despite of being a striker, he loves to challenge opponents to get the ball and that could really help the team. With all that being said, it is safe to say that Higuain would be the perfect signing for Klopp.
-
A Perfect Attacking Lineup-
As stated earlier, the Merseyside club needs a player who could be called as a ‘pure striker’ and for that, Higuain could be the perfect fit. So far Liverpool have one of the best attacking trio at their side in form of Coutinho; Firmino and Mane. All those players have a great stamina, possess a blistering pace and are capable of delivering the end result as well.
Higuain’s addition in the squad would complete the jigsaw of Liverpool and then the team could easily become one of the most dangerous attacking teams in the league. Besides that, Higuain will bring a top notch experience of the Champions League and then the attacker could also serve as a mentor for the youth.
-
Jürgen Klopp-
The first and utmost reason to join Liverpool is their manager Jürgen Klopp. The 49-year-old German gaffer has come to Liverpool to guide them to the paramount and so far, he has been doing a great job. Since his arrival at the club, the players have revived their careers. Players like Firmino, Can and Lovren, who were believed as flop signings, did a fantastic job under Klopp and now, they are being touted as the most precious possession for the team.
There is no doubt that working under Klopp will be a delight for every single player and Higuaín is no exception. Progress is Klopp’s top priority and so is of Higuain’s. The German and Argentine duo could do wonders at Anfield and we are pretty sure that at the end of the season, Higuain himself will realize that joining Liverpool was one of the best things ever happened to him.
