PSG Put Liverpool On High Alert For A Potential Double Swoop Along With Premier League Rivals

Liverpool could be handed a double deal from Paris Saint-Germain as the French club have set two of their players for sale in the winter window. Jese Rodriguez and Grzegorz Krychowiak both are available on a loan deal or a permanent one in the winter window according to the reports from the Sun

.

The pair has not been able to make the most of their moves to the French champions and Rodriguez has struggled to break into the first team so far this season. The former Real Madrid man had moved in the summer but has only made one Ligue 1 start so far and has just one goal to his name.

Krychowiak, for his part, has only made six starts in Ligue 1, though he does seem to be played on a greater basis compared to Jese. Liverpool have been looking for a quality winger and Jese could be the solution to that problem for the Reds.

The Spaniard can play across the line and isn’t averse to putting in a good defensive shift as well. He could be the perfect player to have for the Gegenpressing style of play that the Reds employ.

Liverpool have been looking for a quality winger since Sadio Mane left for the African Cup of Nations and the former Real Madrid man seems to be perfect for that place. The Reds have been linked with players such as Julian Brandt, Quincy Promes and Christian Pulisic but a loan deal for Jese could be the best option at the moment.

Krychowiak could still be a decent signing but the Reds have a number of midfielders at the moment and the Polish star could be a target for Arsene Wenger as he can also play in the heart of the defence.

Liverpool have been brilliant this season thanks to their attack but they have had a number of injuries to deal with. The signing of Jese, even on a six-month loan deal would go a long way in providing cover for the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane, when the Senegalese star returns.

The Reds have an extremely busy January thanks to the EFL Cup semi-final ties against Southampton and the FA Cup replay against Plymouth. There is also the crunch game against Manchester United and possibly a top of the table clash against Chelsea at the end of the month.

Hopefully, by then the Reds will be back to their best as any more slip-ups in the league will see them overtaken by the chasing pack. Jese could be the man that takes them out of the rut but that depends on how quickly the deal can be completed.
